Dennis Paul, of Septagon Construction, displays a blueprint of the planned Smith-Cotton Stadium at Jennie Jaynes Complex during Monday night’s Sedalia School District 200 Board of Education meeting.

The board unanimously approved the design concept, and bids for grading the location behind Smith-Cotton High School are due Nov. 21. The stadium will be located southwest of the high school building.

Paul noted that specific elements of the design are still under consideration and that within the past week there have been “changes for the better – we will end up with a better facility.” Photo courtesy Sedalia School District 200.
