The Pettis County Health Center has reported that it signed a contract with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services to continue the WIC (Women, Infants and Children) program here.

Under the terms of the contract, the centeer will be able to serve 1,687 people each month if they are eligible for WIC.

WIC provides, at no cost, specific nutritious supplemental foods that include milk, eggs, whole grains, fruits and vegetables, including beans and peanut butter, the center reported.
