The Smith-Cotton junior varsity football team dropped a 26-14 decision to Center High School on Monday evening at Jennie Jaynes Stadium.

Center scored first but the Tigers returned the favor with a 19-yard touchdown run by Jake Kindle; the two-point conversion try failed.

Center posted two more TDs in the second quarter, one on a 65-yard fumble recovery, to take a 18-6 lead into halftime. The Yellowjackets scored again in the third quarter before the Tigers got on the board again, this time on a 19-yard run by Ricky Warren; the two-point try was good.

Afterward, the S-C freshmen team played a half game against the Center JV and won 24-0. Marlon Beltran, Keoni Hale and Trintuun Quinn had TD runs for the Tigers.
