The Smith-Cotton Junior High volleyballers played their final home game for the season, hosting Knob Noster.

The Tiger ‘A’ team battled to overcome the Panthers in a three-set, nail-biter rally to win, 15-25, 25-18, 27-25.

“Several series of great passing, blocks, kills and a never-quit level of play led a to a gain in momentum for the last points of the second and third sets against a formidable opponent, “ commented head coach Kim Henderson. The Tigers are now 12-1 for the season in match play.

“The ‘B’ Team gained an early lead with some nice pass-set-hit rallies, but fell to the Panthers in two sets,” she added.

The Lady Tigers play their last game of the season Wednesday, Oct. 23 at Sacred Heart.
