SCJV football scores 21-18 win over Clinton

The Smith-Cotton JV football team racked up a 21-18 win over Clinton on Monday night at Jennie Jaynes Stadium.

The Tigers (3-3-1) got out to a 6-0 lead on Logan Parham’s 25-yard touchdown run, but Clinton answered with its own TD to knot the score at 6-6. In the second quarter, Parham scored again on a 30-yard run and Ricky Warren added the two-point conversion, pushing the Tigers ahead 14-6 at the half.

In the third quarter, S-C’s Jayce Simoncic completed a 15-yard TD pass to Jake McFail, and Mario Shulz added the extra point to give the Tigers a 21-6 lead. Clinton posted two more TD runs, but was unsuccessful on its conversion attempts.
