NW Lady Mustangs defeat Lincoln in two sets

The Northwest Lady Mustang volleyball team took on Lincoln last Thursday, Oct. 10 where they defeated them in two sets, 25-19 and 25-16.

In the first set of the game, Northwest’s Kendall Walk led the team with four kills. Walk also had one dig during the first set. NW junior Tori Shireman contributed to the first set with one service ace and three digs of her own.

Sophomore Hanna Gregory had three digs and senior Alyssa Durrill added two more digs during the 25-19 first set.

During the second set, Northwest sophomore Chelsea Frame provided two kills for her team. During the second set Shireman led the Lady Mustang team with seven digs. Junior Lakota Wiskur provided four more digs with teammate Gregory contributing three. No stats were reported from Lincoln.

The Lady Mustangs were 12-11-2 on the season before playing Santa Fe on the 14th. The girls play Green Ridge at home on Tuesday and Tipton on the road Thursday.
