Smith-Cotton Junior High volleyball hosted Marshall-Bueker Middle school Monday night.

The SCJH A team beat Marshall in a three-set comeback win, 10-25, 25-22, 26-24.

“The Lady Tigers were missing a starter due to illness and managed to find a way to come back and win, following a large deficit,” said head coach Kimberly Henderson.

The A team is now 9-0 on the season and are scheduled to compete in the Warsaw Tournament Saturday.

The Lady Tigers take on Marshall again Thursday at their place, starting at 4 p.m.

“The Lady Tiger B team had some excellent volleys, and pass-set-hit sequences, but were defeated by Marshall in two sets,” she added.

Both teams will play Knob Noster on Monday at home. They finish their season at Sacred Heart on Oct. 23.
