SFCC staff members win association awards

Two State Fair Community College professional staff members recently won awards at the Missouri College Personnel Association (MoCPA) annual conference Sept. 29 to Oct. 1 at the Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach.

Dr. Joe Gilgour, dean of Student and Academic Support Services, received a Professional Award recognizing experienced professionals who significantly contribute to student affairs in higher education.

Abby Tribble, assistant director of Residence Life, received the Stephen H. Petersen Graduate Student award for outstanding performance in her graduate program, having contributed to the well being of students and student affairs at SFCC through dedicated effort and commitment to learning.

The mission of MoCPA, a state affiliate of the American College Personnel Association, is to promote, support and foster college student learning and development through the generation and dissemination of knowledge that informs policies, practices and programs for Missouri student affairs professionals and the Missouri higher education community.
