Lady Tigers lose to Warrensburg, 16-1

The Smith-Cotton Lady Tiger softball team lost to Warrensburg on Thursday, 16-1, on the road.

Mariah Voitl had a single and run, Khelcey Hyde had a single, and Tiffani Dixon had a single.

Tiffany Hardy drove in the only run in the top of the first on a groundout. Sarah Bergman got the loss in the circle. She surrendered 16 runs.

Kaytlin Blatterman came in to throw to the last few hitters, but Warrensburg closed the game out in the third with a sac fly to right.

The team returns home on Monday, Oct. 7 for a game against Grain Valley, and another home game against O’Hara on Tuesday, Oct. 8. On Wednesday, Oct. 9, S-C takes on Jeff City  at 5:30 p.m. in the first round of District play here at Vansell Field in Sedalia.
