‘United for One Night’ for UW

A ‘United for 1 Night’ Basketball Game was held Tuesday, Oct. 1 at the SFCC Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center to raise funds for the Sedalia-Pettis County United Way campaign.

The event featured a basketball game with faculty, staff and administration players from Sedalia 200, Sacred Heart and SFCC. Admission was a donation to United Way.

The Sacred Heart Faculty Choir sang the national anthem, addition to performances by cheer squads from the high schools, SFCC “honorary” cheerleaders, Spirit Squad and S-C’s High Voltage dance squad featured throughout the night. The Roadrunners and Lady Roadrunners were introduced and competed in a skills contest. A knock-out contest among school administration and United Way Board members was held after the game.

Representing Sedalia 200 were Sara Pannier, Jud Kindle, Charlie McFail, Heather Clancy, David Hodge, Mick Wheeler, Grant Maledy, Ashley Young, Kyle Zimmerman, Brian Foster and Brendan Eisenmenger. Coaching the Sedalia 200 squad was Zach Vandevender. Photos by Dan Hickman, Sedalia News Journal.
