S-C JROTC competes at Des Moines

The Smith-Cotton JROTC Raider Teams competed in Des Moines, Iowa on Saturday Sept. 28. The JROTC Raiders competed in the Physical Fitness Test, 10 Kilometer Road March, One Rope Bridge, Biathlon, Two Cadet Litter Relay, Raider Challenge Course, and a One-Mile run with Rucksacks. This was the third JROTC Raider meet so far this year for S-C. The Male team was commanded by Cadet Christian Sarabia.

They placed first in the 10 Kilometer Road March, second place in the One-Mile Run with Rucksacks, and first place in the Physical Fitness Test. Cadet Sarabia’s team placed second place overall out of 13 teams. The Mixed team, commanded by Cadet Bradley Burton, performed very well. Overall the Smith-Cotton JROTC Raiders did a great job in demonstrating great leadership skills, teamwork and physical fitness.
