Lady Mustangs outscore Lady Vikings in three sets

The Northwest Lady Mustangs varsity volleyball team beat La Monte two sets to one in a game this past Tuesday night at La Monte. La Monte took the early advantage after winning the first set 25-22, but the Lady Mustangs put it all together winning the next two sets 25-11 and 25-12.

“We had to warm up in the first game, then we played like we should have the next two,” Northwest coach Chelsea Gieselman said.

Northwest junior Tori Shireman had nine digs and four kills for the night. Northwest senior Kendal Walk had 11 kills, two aces and one dig. NW sophomore Jessie Ehlers finished with seven digs for the night, while junior Lakota Wiskur had three kills and one dig. NW senior Alyssa Durrill had seven kills, one dig and one ace for the night.
