The Be Forever Young Club met recently and heard a special program on “Valley of Hope,” a program devoted to grandparents raising children.

Susan Sneed called the meeting to order and gave the opening prayer for the 18 members who attended. Bea Curtis gave the devotional and the birthdays of Bea Curtiss, Lee Barnett, Sharon Rental, Gerry Sumners and Carlene Robertson were recognized.

Linda Fisher gave the secretary’s report and Wanda Rasa gave the treasurer’s report. Both were accepted. Sneed led the group in reciting the “Lord’s Prayer.”

The program was presented by Debbie Ward Hostetter, who discussed “Valley of Hope.” That group is meeting at the Salvation Army at two different times each month. Hostetter noted that the group was in need of sponsors and volunteers.

The host club plans to travel to the Iconium General Store, Osceola Cheese Store and the Amish Grocery in Windsor on Sept. 23, it was reported.

Hostesses for the meeting were Rhonda Zink and Susan Sneed.
