JROTC Raiders excel in Clinton

On Sept. 14, the Smith-Cotton JROTC Raider Team had the opportunity to compete in Clinton’s High School’s 6th Annual Raider meet in Clinton. The Raider Team has been working hard since July 22 of this year, and was able to compete in their second competition of the season.

A total of three separate teams competed in Clinton. Smith-Cotton’s Black Team received 2nd place overall, including 3rd place in the Physical Fitness Test, 1st place in the 10-Kilometer Road March, 2nd place in One- Rope Bridge, 3rd place in the Raider Challenge, and 2nd place in the Obstacle Course. Smith-Cotton’s Gold Team received 3rd place overall, including 3rd place for One-Rope Bridge, and second place for the Raider Challenge course. The Raider Team will continue to work hard and looks forward to the next Raider Meet on September 28th in Des Moines, Iowa. HOOAH!!!
