Students in Smith-Cotton High School teacher Mona McCormack’s 2012-13 environmental science class recently were honored with the “Stream Team Ambassador Award” for participating in water quality monitoring, stream clean-up, teaching fifth-grade classes about water systems, creating informational flyers for water bills and doing community presentations.

About 90 students total were involved in the project, but many of them graduated in 2013. Photo courtesy Sedalia School District 200.
