Parkview Elementary School students display certificates earned by completing the school’s second Summer Reading Challenge.

Students in kindergarten through second grade must read at least 600 minutes over the summer, which those in grades 3 and 4 must read at least 1,000 minutes to complete the challenge. Students log their minutes on a calendar and turn it in to their teacher when school starts.

This year, 37 students completed the challenge and earned four extra privilege days, the first being a donated Pizza Hut personal pan pizza lunch in Parkview’s Outdoor Classroom. Photo courtesy Sedalia School District 200.
