Lady Grems defeat Indians in two sets

The Sacred Heart Lady Gremlins defeated the Hallsville Lady Indians in two sets, 25-17, 26-24 on Monday night, Sept. 9.

Sacred Heart JV beat Hallsville 2 sets to 1 25-17, 13-25, & 25 12.

Morgan Bogue had 6 kills 2 digs and 1 point.

Becky Full had 5 kills, 4 digs and 8 points and 2 aces.

Honor Kehde had 4 kills, 3 digs, 8 assists, 2 points and 2 aces.

Grace Callis had 1 kill.

Mary Fischer had 1 kill and 2 digs.

Elizabeth Freels had 10 points 2 aces and 9 digs.

Julie Chancellor had 20 points 3 aces and 4 assists.

Erin O’Connor had 1 point and 2 digs.

Hannah Orell had 1 and 3 digs.

“We let our communication drop half way through each game and the passes started getting too far from the net. That allowed Hallsville back in each set,” said head coach David Fall.

Sacred Heart plays Russelville Tuesday at home (JV starts at 6, followed by varsity), and travel to Sweet Springs on Thursday. The Lady Gremlins Junior High Invitational is scheduled for Sept. 13-14 with five schools involved. Photos by Randy Kirby, Sedalia News Journal.
