Gremlins win Barstow soccer tourney

The Sacred Heart Gremlins won the Barstow Tournament on Saturday in Kansas City. The Grems beat KC Lutheran by a score of 4-1 to clinch the championship.

Jimmy Villalobos scored the opener on an assist from Brandon Cooper to go up one to zero. Villalobos scored the second on an assist from Max Martin to take the Gremlins up 2-0 at the half.

In the second half Villalobos completed his hat trick on another assist from Cooper. The final goal came from Brandon Cooper on an assist from Mason Kelchner. Kelchner had six saves in the net giving up one late in the contest to preserve the win for the Gremlins.

The Gremlins are now 4-0 on the season and return to action Tuesday against Oak Grove on the road.
