JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Rep. Denny Hoskins, R-Warrensburg, will be officially elected and sworn in as Speaker Pro Tem of the Missouri House of Representatives on September 11th, 2013 during the annual veto session. He was selected as the Republican nominee Aug. 16, during the Republican summer caucus held in St. Louis.

In celebration of the occasion, Representative Hoskins would like to extend an open invitation to a reception preceding veto session.

“I am honored to be promoted by my peers to a leadership role in the House of Representatives,” said Rep. Denny Hoskins. “The Speaker Pro Tem position will allow me to serve my constituents, and all Missourians in an open, honest, and proactive manner. My goal as Pro Tem is to act as a liaison both within my caucus and across the aisle so we can pass legislation making Missouri a better place to live, work and raise a family. My door will always be open.”

The reception will held in Representative Denny Hoskins Capitol office, on Sept. 11, from 11 am until veto session begins at 12 p.m. He would also like to invite everyone to stay for the official vote and swearing in ceremony, in addition to the veto session starting at noon. If you plan on attending the reception you can RSVP to Representative Hoskins office at (573) 751-4302.
