The Smith-Cotton freshmen football team controlled the action all game long in posting a 36-0 victory over School of the Osage on Monday in the Tigers’ season opener at Jennie Jaynes Stadium.

S-C (1-0) was led by running back Keoni Hale, who scored on a pair of touchdown runs as well as a punt return for a TD. Backfield mates Marlon Beltran and Tanner Powell also had touchdown runs.

The junior varsity game was called at halftime due to problems with the stadium lighting. School of the Osage posted a touchdown and two-point conversion late in the second quarter to take a 16-14 lead, the score when the contest was ended.

Running back Josh Hartman posted two TD runs for the Tigers (0-1).
