Warrensburg – West-Central Independent Living Solutions recognized Independent Living Specialist Renia Gillroy for 10 years of service on Thursday, August 15. Also celebrating anniversaries during the month of August are Cindy Elmlinger – 2009, Megan Thurnau – 2009, AJ Newland – 2009 and Daniel Naylor – 2012. All are recognized for their service, but Gillroy’s ten years of service make her the WILS staff member with the longest tenure. She was recognized with an engraved crystal clock and a gift card at a surprise lunch held in her honor.

Gillroy began her career at WILS in August 2003 and has continued as an IL Specialist since that time. As an Independent Living Specialist, Gillroy works directly with WILS program participants.

Since 1996, WILS has worked to support people with disabilities, helping them to achieve and maintain their independence by offering services and programs that allow them to remain in or return to their own home.

WILS Executive Director, Kathy Kay stated, “We appreciate Renia’s ten years of service and her extensive knowledge of services, programs and resources that allows her to better serve our consumers.”
