Thompson Meadows now a ‘certified fiber park’

EDSPC’s ninth annual Sedalia Showcase included a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Thompson Meadows Industrial Park today, Aug. 15.

As part the “Sedalia Showcase,” hosted by Economic Development Sedalia—Pettis County, AT&T—Missouri spoke with local leaders about the company’s investment in Sedalia and the state of Missouri. Locally, AT&T placed fiber optic cable in the Thompson Meadows Industrial Park, ensuring the best in landline technology for local businesses and industries. The area is also an Enhanced Enterprise Zone.

Making prepared remarks at the event were Rusty Kahrs, Mike Haynes, Roger Austin and Sedalia Mayor Elaine Horn.

Because of AT&T’s investment, the Thompson Meadows Industrial Park now qualifies as a Certified Fiber Park, which will help in marketing available space to companies looking to locate or expand in the Sedalia area, according to a press release from AT&T.

The theme of EDSPC special event was called “International to Local, We Have It All.” EDSPC Executive Director Linda Christle organized the day’s actitivies to which city, state and local officials were invited.
