Daniels signs with SFCC

The State Fair Community College Lady Roadrunners have signed Sydonia Daniels for the 2013-2014 season.

Daniels, a sophomore, is a 6-1 forward from Irvington, N.J. She played her freshman season at Illinois Valley Community College in Oglesby, Ill., where she averaged 10.5 points and eight rebounds. She also contributed six assists and two steals during her freshman campaign.

“She is a hard-nosed, experienced player from a very good program,” said Lady Roadrunners Head Coach Kevin Bucher. “Sydonia is very athletic and a very highly regarded player.”

Daniels played high school basketball at Arts High School for Head Coach Ray-Quell Cotton. She averaged 18 points and 14 rebounds and contributed 4.1 blocks and 2.6 steals her senior year. Daniels plans to major in Athletic Training.
