In a move that strengthens its reputation as a comprehensive cancer treatment center in this region, Bothwell Regional Health Center has announced the addition of Dr. Matt Triplett to the staff of its Susan O’Brien Fischer Cancer Center in Sedalia.
Dr. Triplett recently completed a hematology oncology fellowship at Ellis Fischel Cancer Center in Columbia. He received his medical degree from the University of Missouri – Columbia School of Medicine and completed a residency and internship there. He also has worked as an emergency physician at the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital in Columbia.
“Bothwell has been fortunate to have two excellent oncologists – Dr. Bassem Chaar and Dr. William Decker – who have done a tremendous job of growing our cancer program,” said John Dawes, president and chief executive officer of Bothwell Regional Health Center. “It’s because of this growth that we have added Dr. Triplett, and we know he will greatly enhance our ability to provide comprehensive services to combat cancer in this region.”
Dr. Triplett is a member of the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and an associate member of the American College of Physicians. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
”Dr. Triplett was named chief resident and outstanding intern during medical school and comes highly recommended by his colleagues,” Dawes said.
As a medical oncologist, Dr. Triplett specializes in treating cancer with chemotherapy and other medications. For information or to make an appointment with Dr. Triplett, please call (660) 829-7792.
