The following four felony cases were taken up in Circuit Court this morning, July 24:

Bartlett, Steven, R. 36, Sedalia, was ordered to serve a 7-year sentence when his probation was revoked on a felony possession charge. He was originally placed on probation in 2010 after he pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine. His probation was revoked because of his continued drug use, failure to attend treatment and failure to report to his probation officer.

Fields, Kevin, 45, Mora, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to serve 4 years in prison, to run concurrently with an existing sentence. Pettis County Det. Mark Morgan arrested the defendant January 25 after finding methamphetamine during a domestic assault investigation.

Pummill, William J., 51, Sedalia, pleaded guilty to possession of a precursor chemical with intent to manufacture methamphetamine. Missouri Highway Patrol Lt. Nathan Ahern arrested the defendant March 7 after watching a passenger in the defendant’s vehicle throw a container of anhydrous ammonia from the car. The defendant was sentenced to serve a 5 year sentence. Codefendant Porter White previously entered a guilty plea and is serving a sentence in the prison’s Long Term Treatment Program.

Sommers, Arnold, 51, Sedalia, pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to 10 years in prison as a prior drug offender. The Sedalia Police Department’s S.T.I.N.G. Unit served a search warrant at the defendant’s home on Fourth Street November 27 and found methamphetamine and Xanax. The defendant admitted he had been selling methamphetamine.
