Queen Kasey crowned Miss Pettis County 2013

Kasey Keim, 18, Sedalia, was crowned Miss Pettis County on Thursday evening on the first night of the 2013 Smithton Town & Country Fair.

Miss Keim is a 2013 graduate of Smithton High School. She is an A+ student and plans to attend SFCC this fall.

This was Kasey’s first time competing in the Pettis County Queen Pageant, and she will go on to compete at the Missouri State Fair Queen competition Aug. 8.

She is the daughter of Eric and Billie Jo Keim, Sedalia. Also competing for the tile were Kylie Marconnet, Elizabeth Galey, Bailey Yeater, Kandas Egner and Kelly Strouse. Second runner-up was Kelly Strouse, and first runner-up was Kylie Marconnet.

KDRO radio personality Beau Matthews served as master of ceremonies, while Izabella Oswald supplied the musical entertainment. Crowning Queen Kasey was Miss Pettis County 2012 Rachel Lauren Walton. A video of the crowning can be seen here. Photos by Randy Kirby, Sedalia News Journal.
