Dennis Allen Hunter, 59, of Sedalia, died Saturday, June 29, 2013, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
He was born Dec. 22, 1953, in Sedalia, son of William Edward and Mary Ellen Weathers Hunter.
He was employed at Tyson Foods, where he had worked for over 19 years. He was a loving father and brother, a good friend and a hard worker.
Surviving are three children, Richard W. Hunter, of Sedalia, William Adam Hunter, of Fulton, and Christopher Hunter, of Sedalia; a step-daughter, Joura Jordan, of Marshall; two step-grandchildren, Logan and Kyleigh; his step-father, Alvin Wombles, of Sedalia; and siblings, Linda Rowe, Edward Hunter, Clarence Hunter and Lola Dickerson, all of Sedalia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Joane Shoemaker, Robert Hunter and David Hunter.
There will be a visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Heckart Funeral Home.
Burial will be at a later date in Highland Sacred Gardens.
