The State Fair Community College Lady Roadrunners have signed Little Rock, Ark., native Derriel Banyard for the 2013-2014 season.

Banyard played basketball at Parkview Magnet High School for Head Coach Lahoma Howard. She averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds during her senior season and also contributed three assists and three steals per contest.

Banyard earned All-Conference, All-Metro and All-State honors during her high school career. She played in the state championship three of her four seasons and won a pair of state titles.

“Banyard is very athletic,” said Head Coach Kevin Bucher. “She can play guard or forward and is a solid rebounder and defender. She can also shoot the three-point shot. We are excited to have her, and I think she’ll have a great career at SFCC.”
