Charles E. Wensch, 67, of Sedalia died Thursday, June 6, 2013. He was born in Sedalia on Feb. 23, 1946, the son of Paul F. and Dorothy (Sudduth) Wensch.

He graduated from Sacred Heart High School. He joined the U.S. Army and served one tour of duty in Viet Nam before returning to Sedalia. He became a barber and worked in the Bothwell Hotel Barber Shop while attending State Fair Community College for his accounting degree. He also worked for Mid Missouri Electric and Duke Manufacturing.

He was very active in the Boy Scouts while his son Rob was a scout. They both enjoyed the experiences obtained in scouting and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping together.

He  is survived by his father, Paul Wensch; his son, Rob Wensch and his wife, Monique of Fort Myers, Fla., and his brother, Paul V. Wensch.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Wensch.

A memorial service will be at 6 p.m, Monday, June 10 at Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home.
