Lois Derr, 94, formerly of Aurora, died Friday, May 31, 2013 at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
She was born on June 4, 1918, near Dunnegan, a daughter of James and Eunice (Goodrich) Goodwin.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Aurora, where she was actively involved in various committees and activities. She worked as a Registered Nurse for many years, retiring as the Director of Nursing at the Aurora Community Hospital.
Survivors include two sons, Philip Petiford and his wife Bonnie of Syracuse, and Mark Petiford and his wife Merle of Santa Clarita, Cailf.; four grandchildren, Tracey (Mike) Gengler, Amy (Randy) Bivins, Kristin and Kelly Petiford; four great grandchildren, Jacob, Kylee and Raef Gengler and Julianna Bivins.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Becky Cunningham and Pauline Goodwin; two brothers, Wendell Goodwin and Walton Goodwin.
Her body was gifted to A.T. Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
