Quisenberry Bridge reopens

May 31, 2013

in Local

On Monday, the Pettis County Commission will review speed limit regulations for the new Quisenberry Bridge, located west of Sedalia that was reopened on Tuesday. The new two-lane bridge is much wider and safer than the old one, which has been closed for over a year.

The bridge was shut down by the State of Missouri in March, 2012 because of age and weight issues.

The project cost a total of $250,000. Pettis County was required to contribute about $50,000 of that on a 20-percent match agreement. Photos courtesy Western Commissioner Jim Marcum.
