The Windsor Track team capped off a great year bringing home four medals in individual events from the State Meet. It was the best finish since the 1987 team which had five medal winning performances.

Tyler Brockman joined an elite group from Windsor that received three medals at the same State Meet. Brockman medalled in 200 with a third place time. Roy Haskett’s 22.46 time in 1989 stills stand as a school record, but Brockman’s 22.56 time in the prelims is the fastest automated time in Windsor history.

Brockman ran a 11.34 100 meter dash which earned him a fifth place medal. His 20′ 4″ effort got him an eighth place medal in the long jump. The only Greyhounds to capture three individual medals in the same State Meet were Haskett in 1989 (100, 200, long jump) and Brian Allen in 1983 (800, 1600, 3200).

Another senior, Jacob Fleming threw 140′ 2″ for a fifth place medal in the discus. The 4×100 team of Brockman, Nick Standon, Jerry Nelson and Brett Rosebrough improved their time from sectionals but did not advance to the medal round.
