Whittier High School graduated 43 seniors Friday night during ceremonies held at Smith-Cotton Junior High, 312 E. Broadway. The keynote speaker was Whitney Hurt, a 2005 Whittier graduate.

In addition, outgoing District 200 Superintendent Harriet Wolfe was presented with a bouquet of flowers from the school board, honoring her many years of service to the school district.

As B.J. Curry called out the seniors’ names, Wolfe presented each graduate with their diploma.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, each graduate was given roses to present to loved ones in the audience.

Following the ceremony, seniors and their families and friends were treated to a barbecued meal in the FEMA building. Photos by Randy Kirby, Sedalia News Journal.
