To fulfill their National Honor Society community service requirement, Smith-Cotton students, from left, Wade Hagebusch, Cole Simoncic and Daniel Akin spent the past weekend painting the S-C logo and paw prints on Tiger Pride Boulevard leading to the high school as a way to promote school spirit.

It took the trio about six-and-a-half hours to complete the job over Saturday and Sunday, and many hours leading up to that time to get approvals from the school district, the city of Sedalia and S-C Principal Steve Triplett; once they got the OK, they had to wait more than a month for the weather to cooperate with their efforts.

The stencils are the same ones used at Jennie Jaynes Stadium, where the Tigers football team plays. Photos courtesy Sedalia School District 200.
