Smith-Cotton High School students Kinsey Mahalovich and Alyssa Weikal have qualified to attend the FBLA National Leadership Conference set for June 26-July 1 in Anaheim, Calif.
The students completed their Business Achievement Awards (BAA), an aggressive, self-directed, results-based business and leadership program designed to complement academics while accelerating a student’s leadership skills. The awards focus on the words surrounding the FBLA crest: service, education and progress.
There is a heavy emphasis on education with integrated classroom projects. The individual recognition is a four-tier program (future, business, leader, America) aligned with the FBLA-PBL goals, National Business Educators Association standards and Career Clusters.
