Sacred Heart edges Cole Camp 2-1

The Sacred Heart Lady Gremlins edged the Cole Camp Lady Bluebirds 2-1 in a Kaysinger Conference softball game Wednesday night at Centennial Park.

Cole Camp scored their lone run in the top of the third and Sacred Heart scored the tying and winning run in the bottom of the seventh.

Destiny Matz and Olivia Honn both went 2-for-3 at the plate for Sacred Heart. Lyndzie Brace and Olivia Sobaski each scored a run for the Gremlins.

Kaylee Kestner went 2-for-3 and scored Col Camp’s run. Mason Harms went 2-for-2 and drove in a run.

Emma Honn went the distance to pick up the win for Sacred Heart. She allowed one run, six hits, struck out four and walked one. Mackenzie Gudde pitched 6 2/3 inning, allowed two runs (one earned), seven hits, struck out three and walked one.
