The Be Forever Young Club was invited to the Show-Me Christian Youth Home, La Monte, April 8, and the 21 members who made the trip were welcomed by Chad Pucket, while Chris Ruhnke conducted a tour of the facility.
The group had lunch with students and staff and then conducted a brief business meeting, with Linda Fischer reading the minutes. A new member, Betty Johnson, was welcomed.
The birthdays of Jane Barnett and Ilene Webb were recognized.
The group next plans to visit Warm Springs Ranch to see the clydesdales May 11, with the bus leaving the church at 12:30 p.m. On Aug. 30 the group will see a production of “Hank Williams Revisited” at the Lyceum Theatre.
Wanda Rasa reminded the members of the production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” at the Liberty Center and Marlis Wise announced that the Sedalia Visual Arts Council was sponsoring a trip to the Kansas City area to visit Strawberry Hill and the Nerman Contemporary Arts Gallery June 1. Those wishing to participate should contact Jean Gallagher.
The next meeting will be May 13.
