The Sacred Heart Lady Gremlin soccer team battled back from an early 1-0 deficit to beat St. Paul’s 3-1 in a match April 9 at Clover Dell Park.

The Lady Saints, with the wind at their back, took an early 1-0 lead two minutes into the match.

Morgan Bogue scored for Sacred Heart on a through ball from Katelyn Sunnarborg to tie the match 1-1.

Bogue then sent a through ball to Sunnarborg, who finished it for a 2-1 Gremlin lead. Bogue scored her second goal, taking a pass deep in the corner and beat a St. Paul’s defender for the final goal of the match.

Sacred Heart, 3-1, played in the Kickapoo Tournament in Springfield over the weekend.
