Bothwell Regional Health Center will open a new practice specializing in internal medicine this month. Located on the third floor of the Bothwell Healing Arts Center at 10th and Winchester, Bothwell Internal Medicine will be staffed by Dr. Ernesto Negron, an internal medicine specialist, and Dr. Connie Teng, a rheumatologist.
As an internal medicine physician, Dr. Negron will focus on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of adult diseases. Dr. Negron received his medical degree from the Ponce School of Medicine in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He also completed his residency in internal medicine at the Ponce School of Medicine. Dr. Negron is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
As a rheumatologist, Dr. Connie Teng focuses on arthritis and other problems involving joints, soft tissues, autoimmune diseases and connective tissue disorders. Dr. Teng received her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Baltimore. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore, and rheumatology fellowship training at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan. Dr. Teng will see patients on a monthly basis at Bothwell Family Health before joining Dr. Negron at Bothwell Internal Medicine later this month.

Both Dr. Negron and Dr. Teng are accepting new patients. Bothwell Internal Medicine will accept most insurance plans, self-pay and Medicare and Medicaid assignment. Appointments can be made now by calling (660) 827-2730. Dr. Teng begins seeing patients April 16, and Dr. Negron begins seeing patients April 22.
