Cole Camp Bluebirds notch first win

The Cole Camp Bluebirds notched their first win of the season Tuesday night, downing the La Monte Vikings 15-5 in a six-inning Kaysinger Conference game at Cole Camp.

Cole Camp, 1-2, led 10-1 after three innings and 14-3 after four and coasted to the win.

Gunner Williams went 3-for-3 and scored four runs for the Bluebirds. Connor Balke went 2-for-2 and scored a pair of runs.

Balke pitched four innings for Cole Camp and got the win. He was relieved by Koby Knievel. Balke allowed three runs and three hits, walked four and struck out five.

Tristan Hackworth took the loss for the Vikings.

Clayton DeMotte went 2-for-2 and scored three runs for La Monte.

Cole Camp played at Lakeland Wednesday and at Green Ridge Thursday.
