CRTA hears update on library work

The Community Retired Teachers’ Association met recently and heard a report on work being done on the Sedalia Public Library.

Pam Hunter, library director, told the group the repair work would be paid for by an anticipated increase in property taxes that was before voters in the April 2 election.

Carlyn Hays conducted the business meeting, Carol Klein read the treasurr’s report and Jeanne Curry gave the secretary’s report. Wandy Meyer, Klein and Hays reprted on a state meeting in Jefferson City Mach 7.

Barbara Freund and Hays then reported on current legislation and the group’s volunteer hours were listed.

The next meeting will be April 17 when a member of the Highway Patrol will be the guest speaker.
