Austin named president of local branch of Simmons First National Bank

Pine Bluff, Ark., April 2, 2013 – Simmons First National Bank has announced the appointment of Roger C. Austin as Sedalia Community President, according to Larry Bates, Missouri chairman.

Austin has 19 years of banking experience and community involvement in the Sedalia market. In his new position with Simmons First National Bank, he will have oversight of the Sedalia and Green Ridge financial center retail and commercial operations.

Austin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in General Management from Central Missouri State University-Warrensburg.

“We are extremely fortunate and pleased to have Mr. Austin joining our senior management team as our Sedalia Community President. Mr. Austin’s banking experience and community knowledge will enable our bank to best meet the needs of our customers and community,’ Bates said.

Austin currently serves on the Rotary Club of Sedalia Board of Directors and is President Elect. He is also Treasurer of the Sedalia/Pettis County Service Corporation and a member of the Sedalia/Pettis County United Way Board of Directors and Chairman of the Finance Committee. He is a past Board Member and President of the Sedalia Area Chamber of Commerce and Past President of the Sedalia Jaycees.
