Sedalia Mayor Elaine Horn signed a proclamation on Wednesday morning observing National Public Health Week, April 1-7. The theme for Public Health Week is ‘Public Health is Return On Investment: Saves Lives, Saves Money.’

Monday through Friday of Public Health Week has a different theme. The theme for the day is listed below. Additional information will be provided for each day and may be obtained at www.nphw.org.

Monday – Ensuring a Safe and Healthy Home for Your Family

Tuesday – Providing a Safe Environment for Children at School

Wednesday – Creating a Healthy Workplace

Thursday – Protecting You While You’re on the Move

Friday – Empowering a Healthy Communitiy
