State Fair Community College hosted the Missouri State High School Activities Association District 14 music festival Friday and Saturday, with hundreds of musicians and vocalists converging on campus with their instruments, sheet music, accompanists, parents and musical directors close by.

Students from 30 area high schools presented more than 550 vocal and instrumental solos, duets, trios, and small ensemble performances over the two days in the Yeater Learning Center and Stauffacher Center for the Fine Arts.

About 900 students, plus teachers and parents, were expected on campus. About 30 SFCC music student volunteers assisted with the festival.
