Sedalia experienced widespread damage to area trees due to the massive snow and ice accumulation from the last two recent snowstorms. Due to the large amount of tree-limb debris, the City of Sedalia has scheduled a special collection route.

The City of Sedalia will immediately start removing storm damaged tree debris in residential areas. Any tree debris you would like picked up, please place it in front by the street. All limbs should be six feet in length or less.

“The collection process might take a few weeks as we work our way through the whole city, so we are asking for patience during this process. Anyone who would like to utilize the City of Sedalia free yard waste drop off site is welcome to do so,” said Public Works Director Bill Beck. “This will help speed up the storm damage debris removal process. The site is located at 28th Street and S. New York Avenue and is open 24 hours a day – 7 days a week.”
