MARSHALL - (March 5) – Northwest Pettis County R-5 High School senior Lindsey Blaylock has signed a letter of intent to play volleyball for Missouri Valley College beginning in the fall of 2013.
At Northwest High School in Hughesville, Lindsey was a member of the women’s volleyball team, basketball team, softball team, FTA, FBLA, FCCLA, National Honor Society, Student Council, and the Math Team. Blaylock was also an All-District, All-Conference, All-Region, and All-State selection during her participation in volleyball.
“All the coaches are very excited about keeping Lindsey close to the Marshall area,” said MVC volleyball head coach Brett Holt. She is a tremendous athlete and will be a great asset to the program.”
The MVC women’s volleyball team is coached by Brett Holt, who took over the program in the fall of 2012. The Lady Vikings went 19-12 in the 2012 season. The 19 wins were the most wins in a season over the past 16 years.
Lindsey plans to major in secondary education mathematics at Missouri Valley. She is the daughter of Tom and Marty Blaylock of Sedalia. (Submitted)
