State Fair Community College nursing students sponsored a free public health fair on Monday, March 4 in the Thompson Conference Center in the Heckart Science and Allied Health Center.

About two dozen booths were on display at the event.

The students, who will graduate in May with associate degrees in nursing, presented information on more than 20 health topics, from tobacco use, heart attack and stroke symptoms, cancer prevention, and adolescent health (texting, drinking and driving) to teen pregnancy education, oral health, bacterial food-borne illnesses, and diabetes education. Blood pressure screenings were also available.
