A kickoff party for the 2013 season was held Thursday night at the Fox Event Center in downtown Sedalia. The event featured appearances from the 35 players, the Mid-Mo Bootleggers dance team, owners, coaches and sponsors.
Co-owner Chad Jackson noted that the Outlaws are the largest professional indoor football league in the country. Ethan Henson is the other co-owner of the organization. Henson is heavily involved in the day-to-day operations of the CPIFL where he is currently the president of the executive board.
The 2013 schedule includes 12 games, with six home games played at the Mathewson Exhibition Center on the Missouri State Fairgrounds. The regular season ends June 8 at Wichita. The Outlaws will play nine teams this year.
