In closed session on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, the Board of Education of the Sedalia School District #200 hired Mrs. Robin Wyatte to be an Assistant Principal at Smith-Cotton High School and Dr. Jennifer Holland to be an Assistant Principal at Smith-Cotton Junior High School for the 2013-2014 school year.
Prior to being selected as an Assistant Principal at Smith-Cotton High School, Mrs. Wyatte has been teaching Math for 16 years. Robin started her career at Smith-Cotton High School in 1997, teaching for five years; she taught at Knob Noster for three years, returning to Smith-Cotton High School in 2005.
Mrs. Wyatte received her Bachelor of Science in Education in 1978 and her Master’s Degree in Mathematics in 1984 from the University of Central Missouri. Robin received her Master of Education Degree in Secondary Administration from William Woods University in 2008.
Mrs. Wyatte will replace Mr. Gavin Miller who previously accepted a Head Principal position at the Bernie High School.
Prior to being selected as an Assistant Principal at Smith-Cotton Junior High School, Dr. Holland has been teaching High School Science and was the Head Volleyball Coach in the St. Joseph School District since 2010.
Dr. Holland received her Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Missouri Western State University in 2007, her Master of Public Administration from Upper Iowa University in 2008, and her Doctor of Educational Leadership, Specializing in Curriculum Development and Instruction from the University of Phoenix in 2012.
Dr. Holland will replace Mr. Jason Curry who has been promoted to Head Principal at Smith-Cotton Junior High School. Mr. Curry introduced Dr. Holland at a private staff reception for her at the Junior High’s library on Friday afternoon. Photos by Randy Kirby, Sedalia News Journal.
