Animal shelter receives $10,000 estate gift

Bess. a 35-year accounting professor at the University of Evansville, had a special ove for music and animals. He was known to befriend every stray cat that came his way. He left in his will $10,000 to the Sedalia Animal Shelter for the care of animals who do not presently have homes.

Allen was also an active member of Granite Lodge 272 and York Rite Masonic bodies. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He played trombone in the Sedalia Concert Band and was active in several other civic organizations. Photo submitted.
